Photography Basics Workshop

Coming in 2026...photography basics classes are back! Taught by Trisha of Rowan Tree Photography, a professional photographer for 14 years and a mother of four.

This is a two-hour, in-person workshop that will teach you the basics of how to use your camera and take better photos of your every day life. Classes held in Sioux Falls.

Full payment due at the time of purchase, and several different TBD class dates/times for you to choose from will be offered in the months of Feb-May. Class sizes are limited, and it is not necessary to own a DSLR to attend.

Workshop is for amateurs who would like to learn the basics of photography and be inspired to improve their skills in capturing their own family's moments. Covers topics of basic photography principles, general camera settings, using available light, subject ideas, inspiration, and what to look for when purchasing a new camera or lens (focus is on camera photography, not phone photography, but some principles still apply).

Gift certificates are available for you to give this class to someone else as a gift. Perfect for moms/dads/grandparents wanting to know how to take better photographs.
